1Good title, terrible GameJan 17, 2002

I lost interest after the first game, i gave it the benefit of a doubt, and i was right about first impressions, the game is very outdated, and the graphics and performance features were below my expectations, reminded me of my atari days.

2A whole lot of lying going on...Oct 20, 2002
By dfkap
First, I loved the concept and the game had some nice graphics (the textures and animations were really nice) It also was a really interesting concept (fighting game that isn't based on a bunch of guys and gals out to rule the world somehow by beating each other up). Unfortunately, the developers or producers were REALLY creative with the truth.
First, there is nothing even close to 24 characters. There are 12 and there is no way to unlock more. If you hold down the trigger, you get to choose different colors of clothing.
Second, the game states that each character has his or her own special power. Of the 12 characters, only 9 have special powers (one of those being invisibility that the computer can see through).
Third, I beat the single player in about 20 minutes and didn't lose once.
The only reason why I gave this game 2 stars was because it's cheap at Fry's ($$$) and I like kicking the heck out of my brother on it.

1You'll be harder pressed to find a waste of (money) than thisDec 05, 2001

Kabuki Warrors is not a good game. And in all honesty, that is an understatement. The game should have never been released. As you've read from the Editors review, it is set in old japan, with a list of characters and "exciting" moves. The editors comments are taking some substantial liberties. The backdrops of the game are simple and bland, with very little effort being made to make them unique or varied. The characters look like half-finished dolls, and move as if they were being animated by an amatuer puppeter. These issues could have been acceptable if the gameplay was excellent, but unfortunetly that is not the case.

A player can easily master the repeative gameplay, which only involves guarding and starting silly dances to get your popularity meter up. Once this has maxed out, the player can cause an uninspired special move that is extremely anti-climatic.

Please save your money and/or your child's happiness by avoiding this game. You are better served ordering another fighting game that is available for the system.

1What in the world is this piece of.......Jun 18, 2002

Whoever approved this game to be "acceptable" for Xbox/Microsoft standards should be FIRED!!!...

This game is just absolutely horrendous and needs to just be removed from the shelves through a massive recall, pilled up in the backyard of the person who approved this game for sale, and burnt in the name of all that's wrong with the world today. What's bad about this game?? The question should be, "What's good about it?"....nothing, and I mean nothing. The DVD disc could be used as a coaster for drinks I suppose...but that's the only good thing I can think of. I would have chosen "no stars" for this piece of flaming poo....but I'm forced to choose 1 star. Oh well, nobody's perfect I guess.

Above all, I feel pity for those that were forced to work on such an abomination.
