4It's Madden football, nothing moreAug 29, 2006
By Brett Corkins
There's a lot of different opinions of Madden NFL 07 swirling around so I figured I get in on it as well. For my money, to just have a new football game is worth it. Seeing as how Madden is now the only football game available from year to year, if you don't like Madden's brand of video games then I feel so sorry for you. However, I think this is a great installment. By no means is this the best released but there's no doubt that it's a lot of fun.

Have Madden 06? You basically have 07. Not a lot has changed from last year. The few things are the running options (juking and whatnot) being moved to the right joystick, the 50 yard dash on the training camp, and the new camera angle for your Superstar linebacker. Also, while I've only played a quarter of an exhibition game and a lot of Superstar games, I still have yet to hear John Madden. I don't know if he's not on this game or not, but if he isn't that just makes no sense.

Pros:
It's still Madden
Linebacker view
Overall Superstar: Hall Of Fame feature
Having all the big name rookies is kind of nice

Cons:
It hasn't changed much from last year

Yeah, that's my only big complaint. I can't help but love this game though. If you're looking to save money then there's no huge reason to buy this unless you HAVE to play with Leinart, Young, Bush, and Williams, then by all means check this out. However, if not having those guys doesn't bother you then you really don't need this year's game.

3Madden BugsMar 08, 2007

Of course this game plays great, it is the next installment of the Madden series. However, usually I can't get through an entire game without it locking up. I read others had issues with this but thought since I bought my game at least 6 months after it had came out, I thought the bugs in my version would be fixed. I was wrong, buyer beware... it sits collecting dust now because it's frustrating to play over 3 quarters and have the Xbox crash out. Other games have froze up for me, such as Scarface and Godfather, but they have built in mechanisms that overcome the freeze-screen within a minute. Even when the game says "your disc may be scratched or dirty." Why don't all games have this mechanism? Especially a game like Madden with such a lofty reputation? I'm disappointed to say the least and should have paid attention to other reviewers' warnings.

5Greatest game of all time!!!!Nov 26, 2006

I love this game, I play it every day. I love all the features such as Franchise mode wich is simalair to seasen mode, it alows you to cut and trade players and hire free agents. The running controls are awesome they allow you to juke, spin, and truck through players. If you have a friend thats willing to play do rushing attack. Its a fast paced game where you play defense and offense each. If your looking for a gift our even for yourself buy Madden 07.

3Same Ole MaddenAug 23, 2006

I gave this game 3 stars because it is not much diffrent about it from last year's version. I really hate EA bought the exclusive rights to the NFL License for video games because it does not force them to be innovative and really push the game to the next level. They basically eliminated the competetion with ESPN video game series by buying the license. The ESPN series was great and inovative and would have driven the developers at EA to make Madden better. Oh well what do you do? It's the only NFL game you can buy now. BRING BACK THE COMPETETION.

5"grown-up" boy's toysJan 09, 2007

The Madden game is an annual tradition as a Christmas gift for my 42 yr old son-in-law. He, his eye doctor and his dentist give this game top reviews---when relaxing and playing x-box. Excellent packing and immediate shipping was an amazon bonus---most of the big box stores were sold out of this item.
