PS3 Media Hub is excelent for adding more ps3 chargers and having not to fumble with just 2. The only thng I was hoping for is that instead of 3-media hub it should be for four inserts. In all other cases I have no problem with it works great stable when inserted.

I was hoping to use this media hub with rockband so I could have an actual group of people play together.

Not only did the hub not work with my rockband controllers, it didn't work for ANY of my PS3 peripherals. I tried the Playstation Eye, My controllers, even the memory card reader, NOTHING worked on it. I tried all the different fitting adapters, both of the USB ports on my 40 gig PS3 Phat, and it just never worked.

I returned it and was not willing to try again. Its too expensive and I would rather find another more reliable hub than give this one a second chance.

4Does what it's supposed to, but why does it get warm?May 29, 2010
I got the Media Hub+ primarily to replace what Sony removed from the PS3 to save costs. I like having the two extra USB ports so I can leave my keyboard dongle plugged in and use USB drives, charge my controllers, cellphone, iPod, etc. It's also cool to not have to track down my card reader to transfer my photos to my PS3, which I use as my third backup for photos. If you are constantly inserting and removing usb accessories the Media Hub+ is a good idea for preventing wear and tear on the PS3's ports.

I didn't have the problems with the insert tabs not lining up. They do a good job of keeping the Media Hub+ inserted while removing USB accessories.

The only con for me was how warm this thing gets, even when nothing is plugged up to it. I even removed it from the PS3 and plugged it into my laptop just to make sure heat from the PS3 wasn't soaking into it. It still gets warm.

I bought this and I'm really happy with it.
I have 2 hard drives (500 gb each) and a SD card plugged in my ps3.
Just make the usual folders (VIDEO, PICTURE, etc..) and you will see each hard drive separately in the main menu of video or music or pictures, and also the SD card.
Great product that fits perfect!!
Just be aware, that you can use just the usb on the bottom of the ps3.

Just got it, plugged it in, works great! Even recognizes my 4GB SDHC Card! Hope it lasts, 'cause this thing is perfect!
