4The Only Way for LatinoamericaOct 22, 2009
By Juan Diego Mendez Rodriguez "JDMéndez"
I purchase this card and I sent it from amazon to Costa Rica, because I want the Map Pack 1, 2 and 3($9.99 each) from the Call of Duty WAW.

I tried to buy dollars to my wallet in the PlayStation Store (in my ps3 slim) with my credit card, that have the billing address in LA, California, but it didn't work any way.

So, I purchase it and now I can play the 3 map packs. There is true that we need to spend more money($5-6 to shipping, $3 taxes, $7 to bring to CR: $65 total) to get this card, but is the only way to get some add-on, games, themes or something else in the outside of US like Latinoamerica.

3The overhead is crazy!May 19, 2009
By S. Riley
Sony makes purchasing games on their Playstation Network incredibly hard. I entered my credit card a dozen different ways, entered things exactly as they appear on my billing statement, and even looked through their FAQ online, but still couldn't add anything to my PSN wallet.

So my Plan B was to purchase a PSN Card. Holy cow, the overhead is ridiculous. Let's look at the numbers:
1. $50 charge for money that you can use in PSN. This is a given.
2. There is also shipping and handling. This added a few more dollars.
3. I was also charged taxes on the card.

So, after all was said and done, I got my card delivered to me for a little less than $60. But that isn't the whole story. I purchase a few games online. Each game I buy online, I get taxed again for THAT purchase too. Outrageous.

I thought this was my only option for getting money into my account, but now I see the overhead isn't worth it. I'll definitely try getting some other credit card account going, or something, before trying this again.

Maybe you are in a similar pickle as me, and if you are: I feel your pain. I do.

5Don't Buy HereOct 18, 2011
By Whirlwind09
I'd much rather use a PSN card than enter my credit card number on the network, but the price here is ridiculous. If you just go to another website, such as gamestop, you can get a $50 card digitally for $50.

1Card is great, price is lousy.Sep 07, 2011

Why pay more money than the card is worth? Cheaper to purchase locally, or via PlayStation directly. Your local 7-11, Wal-mart or grocery store will likely have them for dollar-for dollar value.

3Expensive, full of taxes, but the only solutionFeb 27, 2010
By Jonathan Villalobos "JVC - MAG6GOT"
I bought this product because I live in Costa Rica and the PlayStation Network doesn't allow me to pay from here.

I have to pay $50 + shipping... once the product arrived here, I have to pay taxes for the product and pay the shipping to my country. And once I entered the code on my PS3, they charged me some taxes for every game I buy. All the games have price with some decimals on it, so know I bought like 5 games. Now I can't spend $1.8, nothing is that cheap.

It's the only solution I got to buy from PSN.

PlayStation should email the codes or something. Taxes + shipping + more taxes, this card goes like to $70, and for 3 remakes and 2 PSOne classics?
